"Earthlings Welcome": A Photo Journey Through Roswell And Area 51
This spring, while traveling cross country, I spent a few days exploring the alien culture of Roswell, New Mexico, and Rachel, Nevada, aka Area 51. I visited museums, alien-themed restaurants, and truck stops, and then made a stop at the "black mailbox" on Nevada SR-375. I didn't come across anything extraterrestrial but I did get couple great coffee mugs and some photos.

Dead or Meditating?
One of the wealthiest spiritual leaders in India has either been dead or in a transcendental meditative state since January. A court has now been asked to settle the matter.
" Though, a representative from the sect did say on February 3, "About 4:00 PM yesterday, some changes were noticed in his skin (it became greenish). The body was then shifted to a freezer," which may or may not be part of the traditional protocol for transcendent bliss.

The Mystery of Go, the Ancient Game That Computers Still Can’t Win
TOKYO, JAPAN — Rémi Coulom is sitting in a rolling desk chair, hunched over a battered Macbook laptop, hoping it will do something no machine has ever done.
That may take another ten years or so, but the long push starts here, at Japan’s University of Electro-Communications. The venue is far from glamorous — a dingy conference room with faux-wood paneling and garish fluorescent lights — but there’s still a buzz about the place. Spectators are gathered in front of an old projector screen in the corner, and a ragged camera crew is preparing to broadcast the tournament via online TV, complete with live analysis from two professional commentators.

Extremely dangerous lava surf photography
CJ Kale
is reportedly the first person ever to photograph lava entering the
ocean from the surf, swimming near the scalding water and avoiding lava
bombs just a few from where he was standing. Needless to say, the risk of dying is huge but his photographs are awesome. In
2011, he feel into a 20-foot lava tube while shooting the Kilauea
Volcano and shattered his ankle. Here's a video of him taking these
photos in the water, a few feet from the lava.
