Korean artist Jee Young Lee creates elaborate scenes resembling surreal worlds inside her tiny studio in Seoul. Lee uses no photo manipulation
to create her images, and her setting is the same small studio measuring
a modest 11.8 feet by 13.5 feet by 7.8 feet. Using cheap materials such
as styrofoam, cardboard and paint, Lee transforms her workspace into
fantastic dreamlands. They are inspired by either her personal life or
old Korean fables and they each have their own backstory. Each set takes
weeks, sometimes months to build.
